Monarca Minerals Inc. is a mining company primarily involved in the identification, exploration, and development of silver projects across Mexico. Its principal asset is the Tejamen silver property, encompassing 23 mining concessions that span approximately 1,685 hectares to the northwest of Durango. The company also holds an option to acquire a 100% interest in the San Jose Project, which covers about 5,580 hectares in Chihuahua, northern Mexico. Additionally, Monarca wholly owns the San Lucas property, comprising 8 mineral concessions totaling 79.6 hectares, located north of the city of Durango. The company, incorporated in 1995 and based in Toronto, Canada, operated as Oremex Silver Inc. until it adopted its current name, Monarca Minerals Inc., in August 2016.
