Invinity Energy Systems shares soar as it lands spot on AI datacentre battery project

Invinity Energy Systems PLC (AIM:IES, OTCQX:IESVF, AQSE:IES) shares soared close to 50% higher in Thursday morning's trade, after it was selected by FlexBase Group to design a GWh-scale vanadium flow battery system for a Swiss technology campus that is set to include an AI datacentre. The project at the Technology Centre Laufenburg on the Switzerland-Germany border will integrate a vanadium flow battery of up to 1.5 GWh capacity, which Invinity said is believed to be the world's largest to date.
