Etsy shares pop on Q1 results, improved outlook

Etsy Inc (NASDAQ:ETSY, XETRA:3E2) reported first quarter results that topped Wall Street expectations for both revenue and earnings per share, driven by higher gross merchandise sales and improving marketplace performance. Shares rose about 10% to about $70 in early trading following the report.
