Chinese parts are already in U.S. cars as lawmakers warn Trump against China auto deal

Lawmakers in both parties are warning President Donald Trump not to give Chinese automakers a path into the U.S. market during talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. The push is complicated by China's existing footprint in the U.S. auto supply chain, with more than 60 U.S.-based suppliers owned by Chinese companies.
